W. L. Gore & Associates celebrated its corporate 50th birthday in Edinburgh on Thursday 12th June with the assistance of three nxo offices. Gore’s requirement included the delivery of the "best ever, most memorable party" for its 500 UK Associates and retirees. The day featured speeches from the Gore worldwide CEO Terri Kelly who had specially flown in from the USA as well as a further 10 presenters live on stage and also entertainment from the Red Hot Chili Pipers. The company also gave £10,000 to good causes selected by the Associates on the day. nxo Liverpool’s Craig Torrie fronted the project whilst nxo Manchester South’s Giles Wadsworth produced the event, managing a team of 18 people who installed 12 tonnes of equipment worth around £½ million at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. The nxo Hub in Preston produced a wide array of supporting material including displays and print. After a year of planning, the Gore team said they were thrilled with the whole day. "It was truly amazing", "We have certainly achieved our objective" and "It has been a joy to work with a team of professionals" were amongst the client’s comments.
